Taghrid Khoury is a Lebanese national, a mother of three and a proud grandmother of three adorable girls.
She is very passionate and loves to teach Pilates and Yoga, in which she has trained and practiced for 22 years and 43 years respectively. She trained with Stott Pilates for mat and all equipment, prenatal and postnatal, Zenga and Zenga on the equipment. She trained with Carolyn Anthony (The Center for Women’s Fitness) for Pelvic Health and Dysfunction, Diastasis Recti, C section and Myofascial release. She recently completed a comprehensive Basi course. She has taken several workshops on Fascia and anatomy trains. She’s certified in Breast Cancer rehabilitation with the Pink Ribbon Program, is a 200 hr certified yoga teacher and has completed 20 hrs in Yin Yoga – Taghrid loves to practice many styles of mindful Yoga. She has also completed a TRX training with a Pilates emphasis.
She is passionate about helping people with injuries especially back injuries. When diagnosed with herniated discs and spinal stenosis, Taghrid was told by several doctors that she could not get better without surgery but through Pilates and Yoga she managed to avoid surgery. Taghrid believes movement is medicine and when we move our bodies mindfully, it’s meditation in action. She’s a firm believer that practicing mindfully will achieve harmony between mind, body and soul and has the power to change one’s life.
